Watching the X Factor

I know this post is gonna make my blog look like something rubbish. However, I think Xfactor is giving me headaches. X factor kills the music industry in my opinion. I didn't like anything about music on the show at all. It is just giving me headaches. That Tulisha (I really don't know what her job is lol), Gary Barlow and the others are not music gods, so I don't understand what is going on in this X factor.

Go my little muffins, my God!

Legendary Japanese trio Boris today release their third full length this year. New Album is available worldwide (excluding Japan) today, December 6th on LP, CD and Download via Sargent House. The album is streaming in full courtesy of SPIN.com ( HERE) and AOL Spinner (HERE).

I know they sound a little bit different than your average indie rock band. However 'New Album' is worth a listen.

You never miss her beautiful voice and lovely lips. I've seen comments about Lana Del Rey is being compared to Amy Winehouse, but I think it is absolutely fine.

Watch the Throne Tour Brings New Rap to the Stage

Even if you don’t listen to hip hop, Jay Z and Kanye West’s much-hyped Watch the Throne is worth checking out from a production standpoint. Though there are plenty of hip hop moments, overall it feels more like an indie album masquerading as a hip hop album. Since last year’s My Dark Twisted Fantasy, Kanye has been experimenting with a more progressive rap sound, even going so far as to have Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon guest on both albums. Rap music in general is diverging into a variety of camps ranging from club to prog but a few tracks on Watch the Throne, most notably New Day and Made in America downplay big beats in exchange for atmospherics and even singing. Jay and ‘Ye still rap but it’s a downtempo talk-rap that should be interesting to see live on The Throne tour toward the end of the year.

This is Lana del Rey's debut single 'Video Games' on Stranger Records.

New Indie Rock/Pop Music to Check out 2011

There is not some noteworthy new music out there. I am struggling to write tons of stuff like I used to.

My e-mail box is full of really annoying music review requests. Everybody listens to same songs and everybody does the same things. Then the world becomes a very commercial place to live. I don't want that!

It seems that I will listen to the same bands for a while.

Patrik Fitzgerald - All my friends are dead now

Some good songs to listen:
Boy and Bear - Blood To Gold
This song is from previous album, the new album is called Moonfire (2011).

Dum Dum Girls Coming Down New Single from the new album Only in Dreams (2011).

Mates of State "Maracas" 2011.

Wonderful Alternative Songs Top 10

The purpose of this blog is making readers a little bit surprise by the selective and different music reviews, lists and artists.

Talking Heads - Cities

Visage - Tar

Patrick Wolf  - A Boy Like Me

Elliott Smith - Independence Day

The Auteurs - School

Todd Rundgren - I Saw The Light

The Dears - Heartless Romantic

Amy Winehouse - You Sent Me Flying

Liz Phair - Stratford-on-Guy

Jay-Jay Johanson - Far Away

Because they are very strict about sharing music files on internet recently, I cannot share any of these tracks. However I'm sure you can listen all of these songs if you search on youtube.

Laura Marling - Sophia

It is a perfect song! With mellow and relaxing voice, Laura Marling gets your attention at first listen. Her great songwriting skills are making the moment magical.

If you don't know who she is, there you go:

Laura Marling was only 16 years old when she emerged on the British indie scene in 2007 thanks to a handful of infectious singles made available on her MySpace profile. Endowed with a husky voice, an acoustic guitar, and a gift for building quirky, hooky folk songs (characteristics that would have the artist compared favorably to artists like Lily Allen, Regina Spektor, and Martha Wainwright), Marling quickly made a name for herself throughout England.

Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore: "Circulation

Sonic Youth co-leader Thurston Moore has a new video for "Circulation", a song from his new solo album Demolished Thoughts. It's a washed-out, double-exposed affair with a lot of pretty footage of girls dancing and Moore playing acoustic guitar and constantly shaking the hair out of his eyes. (I'd be amazed if anyone in the history of humanity has spent more time doing this particular head-shake than Thurston Moore.) Watch the clip, from director Rose Mackey, below, via the Matablog.

Watch the video at Pitchfork.

Love it!

Eleanor Friedberger - My Mistakes

Eleanor Friedberger is part of the indie rock duo The Fiery Furnaces with her brother Matthew Friedberger. She recently released her first solo album on Jul 12, 2011, and the album is called Last Summer. If you are a The Fiery Furnaces fan, you might like this album. It sounds quite similar with some of the band's songs. However, I enjoy listening to her song 'My Mistakes' from the album.

Patrick Wolf - House

'House' is the new Patrick Wolf record and video from the is the fifth studio album Lupercalia.

It reminds me of Nick Lowe's 'I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass'.

Beirut - “East Harlem,”

Beirut released a new single, "East Harlem", on June 6. I got a chance to listen the new Beirut album 'The Rip Tide'. I think it's quite good! However, I am not sure if it should be a summer release because the songs remind me cold winter days. The title song 'The Rip Tide' is my favorite song for now.

Noah and the Whale new video for LIFE IS LIFE!

Watch Life is Life video on Youtube

Noah And The Whale will release a new single, Life Is Life, on August 8th. The third single to be taken from the band’s Top 10 third album Last Night On Earth, Life Is Life follows Tonight’s The Kind Of Night and L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N., which took up residence in the chart for an impressive 12 straight weeks earlier this year.

Life Is Life comes amid a hectic summer of festivals for Noah And The Whale and precedes the band’s biggest ever headline tour this October. The single will be accompanied by a video directed by the American photographer, Autumn de Wilde (Elliot Smith, Beck), who was responsible for stunning photography for Last Night On Earth.

Noah And The Whale are currently in the US for further headline dates, festival shows, and an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman. The band returns to the UK next week for a summer of UK and European festivals ahead of the UK headline tour in support of the album in October.

Full upcoming UK dates are as follows:

A rainy day MIX

I love rainy days in London. You can see everybody is going home, but somehow I want to go out and walk along these empty streets. Maybe not such a great idea. You might think I am very weird, but I always prefer rainy days to sunny ones. This is a mixture of some songs that I find perfect for rainy days.

Ronan Parke - Because Of You (Britain's Got Talent)

I really wanted Ronan to win. However, the Scottish guy who I found very dull won the competition.

Nicole Scherzinger - Right There

I know it is so boring to post couple of new hit songs to get visitors. However, I try posting the music I  like to listen. I put any kind of music (genre does not matter) here for you if you might find it interesting. There is something about Nicole Scherzinger, but I really don't know why she is so charming. I know 'Right There' is not the best Nicole song yet, but her music always sounds ready to blow you up.

About the song:
"Right There" is a song by American recording artist Nicole Scherzinger, taken from her debut studio album, Killer Love (2011). Written by Ester Dean, Frank Romano, Daniel Morris and co-written and produced by Jim Jonsin, the Island-flavored midtempo pop song sees Scherzinger singing about her lover and telling other women to stay away. It was released on May 17, 2011.

Recommended music
This blog is like my baby. It keeps growing each year and helps me to share some of good music out there with you. You (my dear readers) help me to keep posting.  This song comes for you. Adele's previous album '19' was really amazing. However, you probably recognize her new album '21'. It includes a very nice love song titled 'Someone Like You' as you might know from the UK charts, one of the number one hits and I would be happy to share the song here on this blog:

Radiohead - Lotus Flower

The first impression is not always about the music. I'm losing my focus all the time when I am listening to Radiohead's songs, as they have such indescriptive melody, however Tom Yorke's high-tone voice settles you down in Lotus Flower even if some say he sounds like a travesty.

Being one of the best bands also causes obstacles in creating something worthwhile for their next step in the music business. They continue to mesmerize their fans, however 'Lotus Flower' is just another Radiohead song. I'm sorry but I just can't catch the right tune in it, because it sounds more like 'Massive Attack', certainly something other than Radiohead.

I believe that "The King Of Limbs" is more likely going to be another album like "In Rainbows" which didn't get a lot of attention. Tom Yorke, I'm sorry but you look like a cracker in this one:
