Here we go, it's one of those magical moments, I've got nothing to say about this album.

Spiritualized - Hey Jane
Spiritualized - Hey Jane
What's the thinking behind this cover?
Jason Pierce: The album was always going to be called Huh?, but I couldn't for the life of me picture people going to buy it with that name. I kept picturing people locked in a Monty Python-like loop of trying to ask for the record with a question: "Have you got the new record, Huh?" "Huh?" It would just be this endless cycle. So I figured the best way to deal with that was to make the artwork like The White Album, where that name would travel and people would end up referring to the album as Huh? because it was all over the artwork. The other main thought behind it was that everybody has been moaning about the lack of 12" sleeves to put artwork on-- you know, the good old days when people made vinyl records. But I thought I'd make a piece of artwork that would work on a one-inch square. It doesn't matter how small that piece of work gets, it still looks amazing on a tiny little digital image.

Did You Miss Me - Lindsey Buckingham
It's not a brand new song, however I'm happy to share this lovely melancholic Lindsey Buckingham record.
The song is from Lindsey's Gift of Screws (2008) album. Hope you like it!

Amy Winehouse returns on this blog
It was nice that the Brit Awards acknowledged the loss last year of the talented Amy Winehouse.
I reviewed many of Amy's songs before she became a big star and in celebration of her life I designed the artwork above.
She leaves us with nice songs such as Love is a Losing Game and Back to Black which will make her name live on far into the future.

Bruce Springsteen - Thunder Road
Call me old fashioned or whatever you like! I still find older songs better than today's music. This song comes from my playlist this evening and I feel you might enjoy listening to it.

Tindersticks – The Something Rain (2012)
Tindersticks release their new album “the something rain” in February 2012. Recorded between May 2010 and August 2011, it comprises nine songs. Here is “Medicine”, from the album, with a film by David Reeve and Patrick Steel shot in the band’s Le Chien Chanceux Studio.
I am so excited about this album and will definitely write something about this great band this week. Go to their website and find more about news and concerts. Tindersticks are one of those timeless bands in my opinion.
I share the new song "Medicine" from this amazing album I think it's brilliant!!!
