Amy Winehouse has died at 27

I was waiting another masterpiece album from her.

Tragically She has died at the age of 27.

It is a shock but maybe not a surprise for all of us.

Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore: "Circulation

Sonic Youth co-leader Thurston Moore has a new video for "Circulation", a song from his new solo album Demolished Thoughts. It's a washed-out, double-exposed affair with a lot of pretty footage of girls dancing and Moore playing acoustic guitar and constantly shaking the hair out of his eyes. (I'd be amazed if anyone in the history of humanity has spent more time doing this particular head-shake than Thurston Moore.) Watch the clip, from director Rose Mackey, below, via the Matablog.

Watch the video at Pitchfork.

Love it!

Eleanor Friedberger - My Mistakes

Eleanor Friedberger is part of the indie rock duo The Fiery Furnaces with her brother Matthew Friedberger. She recently released her first solo album on Jul 12, 2011, and the album is called Last Summer. If you are a The Fiery Furnaces fan, you might like this album. It sounds quite similar with some of the band's songs. However, I enjoy listening to her song 'My Mistakes' from the album.

Patrick Wolf - House

'House' is the new Patrick Wolf record and video from the is the fifth studio album Lupercalia.

It reminds me of Nick Lowe's 'I Love the Sound of Breaking Glass'.

Beirut - “East Harlem,”

Beirut released a new single, "East Harlem", on June 6. I got a chance to listen the new Beirut album 'The Rip Tide'. I think it's quite good! However, I am not sure if it should be a summer release because the songs remind me cold winter days. The title song 'The Rip Tide' is my favorite song for now.
