It is one of those posts that could go anywhere with this song. I mean it is slighty heartbreaking when you play this song so many times and think to yourself. Why is this so underrated. I guess songs are what they are. You cannot expect them to reach everyone but those couple of people matter. The message is taken. Going to a Town !

 Sade is one those hypnotic singer, I even think she has special powers, once listened to it. You will be a fan forever. "No Ordinary Love" is her in my view the most amazing records from Love Deluxe album. Opening strong ballad with crazy guitar riffs in some parts, detached from her previous jazzy style, even though Sade's hypnotizing soul is always there. I just want to be left alone when this song plays. This is not ordinary music and not an ordinary love. When she sings I keep crying, I keep trying for you, you are only left heartbroken. Any love song fans should have this song in their playlist.

You remember the guy who made something completely different from pop music but still somehow pop music. His dark, depressing world wouldn't fit in with what expected from a singer. I know songs about love is kinda very boring. Yes I'm talking about Scott Walker. A masterpiece in its' own field. And there are things you cannot compare sometimes. It tells a story whether you understand it or not. Music as we know can be interpreted in so many different ways. You don't even need to understand the lyrics most of the time. It still has the same impact.

Absolutely mind-blowing vocals of Farmer in the City makes me want more everytime I listen to it. I just feel cold and curious, what comes next. I dare you popular music zombies, you should maybe try this one. I can assure nothing gonna be the same again.

I mean Scott Walker is one of those artist always there for me every time I feel a bit weird. It is not a bad thing specially those weird thoughts make you question about things around you. Never disappoints.

Lady ( a nasty one) Gaga reaches her best music album. Like a present, songs are wrapped up in form of art, a kinda delicious one and they pop up from nowhere.

MM Classics

The weather is always cloudy in London. And I sometimes like to jump from out of my window and run to nowhere. So I decided to share the music for those who feel the same. It's been a quite while since I last wrote to the MM classics section. The day is today to reveal my music of pandora's box. This song is officially included Killing Joke's "Night Time" album if you want to search for it. This band is quite weird because they were quasi-metal ban, then their music had turned to an alternative, dance even dance-rock music. Later on, however, they turned to the metal music band again that I never got those music or the concept.

"Love Like Blood" is a kind of song calling to a tune of doom and gloom which you can tell from its melody easily. It's so essential!

Something like today's genius Antony Hegarty, Klaus Nomi was a genius of his era with his incredible voice and unusual appearance. I believe that some of the wise musicians just steal from these people to bring something very original today. Patrick Wolf's "Hard Times" (from Bachelor album) can be a good example of Klaus Nomi's power based on music keep going on the earth. It is a shame he died because of AIDS. However Nomi's glorious voice still echos on this site.

This song, like many of Joanna Newsom’s songs, is an acquired taste. But I think it’s worth the handful of listens it takes to get past her odd, freak folk façade and appreciate the beauty of the song she’s written. To begin with I could only imagine how wonderful the song would be if it was sung ‘right’ by someone else (I even hunted down a cover of the song by Final Fantasy). But then, imperceptibly over the fifth or so listen, her odd and twisty way of singing took over and I didn’t need to imagine that glamorized version anymore, because somewhere along the way her unique, squeaky caterwaul had turned into its own kind of beauty to my ears.

“Peach, Plum, Pear” is still a lot more accessible than some of her other songs. I’m thinking especially of “Emily”, a twelve minute long song/story that is more spoken than sung and has only a slight amount of accompaniment. That’s still a little more Joanna Newsom than I‘m ready for.

Another song by her that I *would* recommend, also from her 2004 album “The Milk-Eyed Mender”, is “Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie” (she seems to have an affinity for lists). It’s a more traditional folk song, and so it sounds like it was sung by a completely different person. I guess it’s proof she can sing ‘well’ aka traditionally.


Joanna Newsom- Peach, Plum, Pear

It's been a long time since i last wrote for MM classics section. What a heaven sent voice Nico has. How can be a voice with perfect manner of telling in every song. This unique german-accented voice is presented over austere strings and, in one case, electric guitar on a series of songs reminiscent of her work with the Velvet Underground and written by Velvets John Cale and Lou Reed. Other songs (some unrecorded elsewhere) were written by a young Jackson Browne. I wanted to thank you Nico with my handmade artwork for Chelsea Girl record which i made in twenty minutes. I think Drawing a picture of her is better than writing stupid words about this masterpiece.

Elvis Presley may be the single most important figure in American 20th century popular music. Not necessarily the best, and certainly not the most consistent. But no one could argue with the fact that he was the musician most responsible for popularizing rock & roll on an international level. Viewed in cold sales figures, his impact was phenomenal. Dozens upon dozens of international smashes from the mid-'50s to the mid-'70s, as well as the steady sales of his catalog and reissues since his death in 1977, may make him the single highest-selling performer in history. I just don't want to make dirty this classic record because of my broken English. I love "From Elvis in Memphis" (1969). Here comes a fascinating backup singing and never-to-be-forgotten closing track.

Just finished listening to White Rabbits' Fort Nightly (2007), and honestly i don't like it. Tried Beastie Boys' The Mix Up (2007) in which The New York rabble-rousers return to rock roots, but again it's not what i want in fact. The Sarah Silverman Tv Show was funny, but it's not funny for me anymore (i'm out of topic again because of my excitement). For today i just only wanted to give you some time worthy music. So should i say Damned! Damned! Damned!? Yeah, the classic punk record for years, and this special 30th anniversary edition of Damned Damned Damned includes the album, and everything else that the band. The early demos, all the B-sides, noth John Peel Sessions. Feel the Pain, So Meshed Up, New Rose, I Feel Alright are my constant favorite on this young hot loud and stiff mammoth punk record. It saves the day and If you ask me, they're all good, pretty fu-c-k-ing good!

The product of four hours intensive care, this is so hot it's a wonder the vinyl doesn't melt. A great riff that lodges in your brain and enough energy to substitute for Battersea power station.

This is the last album from Fairport before their reshuffle in personnel and it seems to be a showcase for Sandy Denny, whose voice dominates every number. As a group they seem to have come a long way backwards since their first album. The exciting electric sound of those days has been replaced with the most traditional of traditional folk, which doesn’t make for too much animation– they’ve over-simplified. It’s an essential recording. The 2002 CD reissue adds a previously unreleased version of "Sir Patrick Spens" with Sandy Denny on lead vocals.

‘Kaleidoscope’ follows hard on the heels of the morale-boosting chart successes of ‘Christine’ and
‘Happy House’, both of which are featured here. ‘Christine’, the story of the schizophrenic with 22 clashing personalities, was breathtaking: strong, steady drumming, a running bass, a skilful acoustic guitar and Siouxsie’s compassionate vocals all evoke perfectly the song’s stark atmosphere.

‘Happy House’ was great pop as well, everything moving together to form its own distinctive sound. And now ‘Kaleidoscope’ – a series of sketches each evoking its own atmosphere and place. ‘Happy House’ kicks off Side One before ‘Tenant’ is ushered in with a slow, almost Public Image feel, with Severin contributing electric sitar, among other things. ‘Trophy’ is a McGeogh number with a recurring guitar motif and an exploration by Siouxsie of the futility of remembering past triumphs.

‘Hybrid’, though meticulously constructed, tends to outstay its welcome, while ‘Clockface’ seems trite, save for Siouxsie’s chanting. The side ends with ‘Lunar Camel’: slow, a trifle draggy, it lacks characteristic Banshee purpose or direction.

Side Two: ‘Desert Kisses’ boasts a great swirling feel of power and intent with Siouxsie’s voice reminding us of its unique quality. ‘Red Frame’ is almost Human League but with more depth and darkness, while ‘Paradise Place’ and ‘Skin’ are just classic Banshee pieces. Hypnotic, relentless, and incisive, both feature Steve Jones on guitar, revealing a hitherto unknown side of the (S)ex Pistol.

As the title implies, ‘Kaleidoscope’ aims to give the listener exactly that. A kaleidoscope of sound and imagery, new forms, and content, flashing before our eyes. Undoubtedly a lot of the album
is a success on those terms, but even after about ten plays it’s still hard to fully grasp ‘Kaleidoscope’ as a concrete whole. Or maybe that’s the beauty.
