Siouxsie and The Banshees - Kaleidoscope [Album] - 1980
Following the departure of several key band members, Siouxsie & the Banshees regrouped and redirected their sound for Kaleidoscope, their third album. Veering from a punkish, more guitar-oriented sound, the Banshees (reduced to a trio) began their experimentation with gothic and electronic soundscapes. This album also marks the debut of the Banshees’ new drummer and songwriter Budgie, who would continue to record with the band throughout their remaining history. Polydor Records released this album in the UK in 1980.
