2008 was a big year for Barry Adamson. Kicking it off in style with his latest and greatest album Back to the Cat, he then went on to a double whammy of sell-out UK dates in support of Back to the Cat – first as headliner during April and the second as lauded support to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds at the start of May – followed by the infectious summer anthem, Straight ‘til Sunrise, in June coupled with a slew of triumphant festival performances here and abroad and a hugely successful sell-out tour of Australia.
I love striking artists like Barry Adamson, he's such a well-talented artist who never lost his ambition yet. Back to the Cat was one of my favorite albums in the 2008. "People" is the next single - a song that every soul on Earth can relate to for the coming cold, financial depression and ensuing SAD… A reminder that none of us are infallible. A reminder from which hope can spring eternal for change. One for making and breaking New Year’s resolutions to. Barry will also be busy this year with the coming Magazine reunion, scheduled for Feb 2009.
