New Cake B-Sides and Rarities edition features special "Scratch and Sniff" album art, plus an exclusive "War Pigs" live bonus track with special guest Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips, and also a torch of Frank Sinatra "Strangers In The Night". My favorite cut is a romantic love-drunk song "It's Coming Down". You can buy "B-Sides and Rarities" CD from The Cake Music. The band will also release a live album named as "Live at the Crystal Palace" this autumn.

I've had this album for a while already because it was leaked on a file sharing network. Anyway, don't bother buying this disc unless you are a huge Cake fan because there isn't much here to make it worth the cost. Three songs are basically instrumentals, two songs are demos of tracks from previous albums, and the bonus track is a live version of War Pigs, which is the first song on this disc. Wait for their live album to come out and buy that.
You are the reason good bands can't make a living playing music anymore. Ween had to take out a $100,000 loan just to try to make their new album, then it was leaked on the internet. Is that5 fair to them?
Obviously, you are not a musician or any kind of artist and you feel entitlted to TAKE anything you want.
You want to listen to a couple of tracks before you buy, that's one thing, but how would you like it if I showed up at a store that you owned and just took whatever I felt should be mine and walked out? You wouldn't be able to make a living now, would you?
Think about it.
I agree artists deserve better from us than theft of their work.
And if you ARE a huge Cake fan, DO buy this disc; it's worth every cent of the cost. If you're not, you might just be taken by it too - it's worth a listen anyway...
this is a great disc! it really is!
I bought the album and, for me, it was worth it. Yum! Grape!
I find it interesting how someone will rip on another person for downloading an album that was leaked on internet way before it was released. It's one thing to file share after an album is out for retail sale, but obviously someone working for the bands record label must have leaked it. How else would it get out several weeks before it hits the stores? I think those are the people that should be ripped on!
Alright, just so I understand... it's cool to illegally download an album as long as it is leaked by someone from the record company before it has been released?
Whatever helps you sleep at night.
I bet you'd feel the same way if your friend gave you a stolen stereo system. Try telling the cops you knew it was stolen but you're innocent because someone else took it.
Grow up. If you download it illegally you are stealing from an artist. Don't shuffle the blame over to someone else to justify yourself. If you're gonna do it, know that you are just as much of a thief as the person who posted.
Hey People! I just had a listen to this CD and I am totally digging it. The first post had me a little skeptical so I wanted to post and say, give it a listen, make your own opinion, you may just love it;)
