Love - Love (1st album),Out Here

Love (May 1966) is the eponymous debut by the Los Angeles-based interracial quintet of Arthur Lee (vocals, harmonica, drums, percussion), John Echols (rhythm guitar, vocal), (lead guitar), Bryan MacLeanKen Forssi (bass) and Alban "Snoopy" Pfisterer (drums). The album was recorded January 24-27, 1966 at Sunset Sound Recorders in Hollywood. One of the first rock albums issued on Elektra Records, the album was anchored by the radical reworking of the Burt Bacharach and Hal David penned "My Little Red Book", the anti-drug anthem "Signed D. C." (a reference to one-time drummer Don Conka), the bluesy "A Message to Pretty" and the stark instrumental "Emotions".
