* The music management company MainMan (owned by Tony Defries) was named after the last song on the album.
* Guns N' Roses covered "Buick Mackane" (spelt "Buick Makane" on the sleeve) on The Spaghetti Incident? album.
* The title track was used on a Coca-Cola advertisement.
* "Chariot Choogle" is played over the end credits to Born to Boogie. Its riff is similar to "Whole Lotta Love" by one of Bolan's favourite bands, Led Zeppelin.
