The White Stripes - White Blood Cells


White Blood Cells is the third album by American rock band The White Stripes.The White Stripes are known for their raw low fidelity sound and the simplicity of their compositions and arrangements mostly inspired by punk rock, American blues and country musicThe band's commercial breakthrough, White Blood Cells eventually reached #61 on the Billboard 200, going gold and selling over 900,000 units. The album also reached #58 in the United Kingdom, being bolstered in both territories by "Fell in Love with a Girl" and its use of Lego animation in its Michel Gondry-directed music video.

The album was dedicated to Loretta Lynn, instigating a friendship between Lynn and both Jack White and Meg White. In 2004, Jack White would produce Lynn's comeback hit album Van Lear Rose.White Blood Cells' ability to surprise old fans and win over new ones makes it the Stripes' finest work to date.
