My Bloody Valentine - This Is Your bloody Valentine
derivative collection of post-punk goth rock that offers no indication of the revolutionary guitar sound the group would later create. As a 7-song mini-album, it is generally considered as subpar in retrospect to their later releases, namely Isn't Anything and Loveless, and having no relation to the shoegazing sound that they would eventually pioneer.for more info
Yardbirds - Birdland
the Yardbirds in 35 years. In that time, of course, the personnel had changed quite a bit. Even those inclined to get excited by reunions of great bands should know right off that it includes just two original members, drummer Jim McCarty and rhythm guitarist Chris Dreja (though Jeff Beck plays guest guitar on one number, "My Blind Life"). Rounded out by three "new" members (including bassist John Idan, whose lead singing sounds fairly close to original Yardbirds vocalist Keith Relf in style and tone), the record also features guest lead guitar cameos by Jeff Baxter, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Brian May, with Johnny Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls singing lead on "For Your Love." The instinct is to make cruel, sardonic jokes about how the absence of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and (for the most part) Jeff Beck doesn't matter, as guitarists were always the weak links in the Yardbirds anyway.Tracklist
The Clash - Combat Rock
sprawling stylistic explorations of London Calling and Sandinista! The pounding arena rock of "Should I Stay or Should I Go" makes the Clash sound like an arena rock band, and much of the album boasts a muscular, heavy sound courtesy of producer Glyn Johns. But things aren't quite that simple. Combat Rock contains heavy flirtations with rap, funk, and reggae, and it even has a cameo by poet Allen Ginsberg -- if this album is, as it has often been claimed, the Clash's sellout effort, it's a very strange way to sell out. Even with the infectious, dance-inflected new wave pop of "Rock the Casbah" leading the way, there aren't many overt attempts at crossover success, mainly because the group is tearing in two separate directions. Mick Jones wants the Clash to inherit the Who's righteous arena rock stance, and Joe Strummer wants to forge ahead into black music. The result is an album that is nearly as inconsistent as Sandinista!, even though its finest moments -- "Should I Stay or Should I Go," "Rock the Casbah," "Straight to Hell" -- illustrate why the Clash were able to reach a larger audience than ever before with the record. [In 2000 Columbia/Legacy reissued and remastered Combat Rock.]Tracklist
Fleetwood Mac - Tango In The Night
Fleetwood/ChristineJohn McVie edition of Fleetwood Mac had been on a roll for over a decade when Tango in the Night was released in early 1987. This would, unfortunately, be Buckingham's last album with the pop/rock supergroup -- and he definitely ended his association with the band on a creative high note. Serving as the album's main producer, Buckingham gives an edgy quality to everything from the haunting "Isn't It Midnight" to the poetic "Seven Wonders" to the dreamy "Everywhere." Though Buckingham doesn't over-produce, his thoughtful use of synthesizers is a major asset. Without question, "Family Man" and "Caroline" are among the best songs ever written by Buckingham, who consistently brings out the best in his colleagues on this superb album.

Sonic Youth:Murray Street
Murray Street is a 2002 album by Sonic Youth. It features seven tracks ranging from epic ("Sympathy for the Strawberry") to short and intentionally shallow ("Plastic Sun"). The album was well received critically. It was the first album by the group to
feature Jim O'Rourke as an official fifth member.
Members of noise improv group Borbetomagus guest on "Radical Adults Lick Godhead Style."
This Sonic Youth album set the beginning of a new, cleaner, more mature sound, obviously hinting at 70s classic rock bands.
One of the young girls photographed for the cover is Coco, Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon's daughter.
Sonic Youth:Bad Moon Rising
Bad Moon Rising is the third album by the alternative rock band Sonic Youth, first released on Homestead Records in 1985.
It is a concept album themed around death and insanity, typical topics for early Sonic Youth. Each side of the the original release was a mostly continous song cycle, without any breaks between the songs, except Death Valley '69, which is a separate song.
A video, featuring appearances by Lung Leg and band members as serial killers and a montage of video related to war and death was shot for the song Death Valley '69. An image of Lung Leg from the video was used as the cover for EVOL.
